UNIVERSITY COLLEGE
COMMERCE STUDENTS The annual ball of tho Auckland University College Commerce Students' Society was held in the college hall on Saturday evening, a large number of dancers being present. Tho chaperones were: —Mrs. H. Belshaw, who wore a frock of violet satin crepe; Mrs. L. W. Holt, cream satin beaute; Mrs. M. R. O'Shea, bottle ureen georgette; Miss E. M. Bourne, black crinkled crepe. The ladies' committee comprised:—Miss Marjorie Gray, who wore a frock of gold and apricot shot taffeta; Miss Vaughan Gunthorpe, canna pink lace with bolero edged with net; Miss Phyllis Jones, cameo pink lace over satin beaute with blue relief.
Among thoso present were:—Mrs. L. C. H. Dawson, who wore a frock of black lace over blue satin; Mrs. Rodwell, black ring velvet; Mrs. Harry Butler, ecru lace and ninon; Miss Stella Webb, mauve floral georgette; Miss Gwen Stone, delft blue lace; Miss Joyce Lowrie, rose pink net; Miss Nancy Howard, white organdie; Miss Jean Thompson, shell pink satin crepe; Miss Nancy Nov, cherry satin; Miss Marjorie Sherlock, black Chantilly lace; Miss Phoebe Norris, black lace; Miss L. Atkinson, cicl blue lace; Miss Doris White, floral taffeta; Miss Myrtle Hughes, ivory chiffon velvet; Miss Jessie Mitchell, daffodil floral taffeta; Miss Winsome Whitehead, cameo pink satin; Miss Roso Perez, roso floral lame; Miss Nonie Quinnell, amethyst georgette; Miss Lilian Skeels, black and pink chiffon velvet; Miss Val Hingston, white satin; Miss Gladys McMillan, almond green floral taffeta; Mis* Buntv Smales, cerise georgette; Miss E. McDonald, floral taffeta; Miss R. Ross, white lace and georgette; Miss K. Bates, salmon pink georgette; Miss Glen Park, emerald green ring velvet; Miss Pattie Cole, peach pink satm: Miss Betty Eraser, almond green net appliqued in pink; Miss Jean Bunker, white satin; Miss Fitzio Norris, eoial pink souplo satin; Miss Nancy Anderson, black ring velvet; Miss Berridge. turquoise satin beaute; Miss Edome King-Mason, black crepe suede; Miss J. Knight, amber georgette and lace; Miss Margaret Shaw, white coin spot net and cerise sash; Miss Marjorie Hetherington, white satin and net; Miss Evalin Greenwell, pink satm and georgette. •
