NOTES ON THE RACING ANOTHER WIN FOR VOITRE 1 / [BY TELEGRAPH—OWN" CORRESPONDENT] FOXTON, Saturday Adventus scored a comfortable win in the hurdles, for which he was favourite each way. Invictas made most of the running, but tired at the finish, to lose second place to Birkbeck, who jumped very big. Amyril, in spite of drawing number 14 in the Maiden Race, jumped away well and, joining tiie favourite, Stadium, headed him off at the half-mile, where Arctic Region also put in an appearance. This (rio had the race to themselves, Amyril drawing out in the straight for a comfortable win, while Stadium weakened into third place. En Vidette came home well into fourth place after being a long way back early. Land Tax, at double figures, came home decisively in the hack sprint. She was a long way back early, but when she made her run, smothered the leaders, Ebeum and Wasteland. All Humbug had the Foxton Cup race run to suit fiim, and when the rim home came he beat his opponents for pace. He w-as always well placed. Lucky c Alice, Takakua and Chief Marionette went over the finishing-line together. Lucky Alice had every chance. Takakua, who is a hard puller, was restrained throughout the running but put in a good late finish for third. It looked as if Barry waited just too long, and ho was before the stewards after the race. _ . Thrasher scored nicely in the hack distance event, giving Voitre another win. jhe start was poor, Priscilla Verne, Thrasher and Palace getting the best of it. lliey held their advantage to the finish. Palace, who made? the pace, weakening under Thrasher's challenge. Priscilla Verne had every chance. Mercian Prince, the win favourite, was never likely. He did not shape nearly as well as at Otaki, where the lacing in the heavy ground apparently knocked him. The Tiger made every post a winning one in the open seven, and lasted long enough to beat Glenvaiie nicely. The latter came from well buck. Foreign Queen, a hot favourite in the It,St race, was well ridden, and won well from the maiden Whetuma, who was unlucky.
