PROPOSAL TO GOVERNMENT STATEMENT EIY MAYOR .An announcement that he proposed to arrange for representations to be mad® to the Government urging the adoption of some system of monetary reform or control was made by the Mayor, Mr. G. W. Hutchison, yesterday, when replying tc a deputation of 15 women representing the Douglas social credit movement. The deputation was introdueetf by Mr. A. J. Stallworthy, M.P. Wilkinson, who said that under the existing legislation Women contributed to the Unemployment Fund without receiving any commensurate benefit.
