GIFT TO TAKAPUNA
CHII.DRiEM'S PLAYGROUND AREA AT BAYSWATER ' A gift of a section of land at Bayswater eis a playground for children was made to the Takapuna Borough Council last evening by Miss A. C. O'Neill as a memorial to the late Mr. J. F. O'Neill. The property is at the corner of .King ICdwarci Avenue and Beresford Street, "3ayswa,ter. Referring to the gift, the Mayor,. Mr. J. Guiniven, said the land was in a particularly favourable dtaa•;ion fo:: children. It was decided to send a letter ae•jeptin®; the gift and expressing the gratitude of the council.
