■ AUCKLAND MINIATURE CLUB The third round for the B.S.A. trophy was fired on the Auckland Miniature Rifle Club's range, Ponsonby Drill Hall. Close scoring among the leaders is a feature of this series. J. E. Kelly is leading with 239, including: handicap points, while P. Bowes and B. Crocker aro close behind. With the highest possible score of 80 points the following are the scores off the rifle:—B. Crocker, A. Sommerville. 80; G. G. Kelly, F Bov.es. 79; J. 'E. Kelly, 78; K. Davies, I R. T. WHANGARKI MINIATURE CLUB [IROM OCR OWN CORRESPONDENT] WHANGAJtEI, Wednesday The Whangarei Miniature Rifle Club hold a shoot last evening for the Plumbers' Cup. The event, which was for interhouse competition, resulted as follows: Bargain Stores, Ltd.. A Team. —Miss I. Clarke, 65; Miss C. MeMullnn. 63; J. Tudehope, S. E. Lowe. 66; S. Ileggley, 65; total, 32 Wharigarei Advocate.—S. Withers. 63: J Harland. 07; Miss Ruddell, M. Edwards, 65 L. Holmes, 61; total, 324. Bootmakers—H. Patterson. D. Patterson 60: C. Moore, 04; J. Lilley, 68; ,T. Norris, 60: total, 318. Other scores were:—Band. 29/; lran« port, 093: Bargain Stores. Ltd.. C team 255; Bargain Stores, Ltd., D' team, 280. Big Tree, 205; Confectionery, 258. The evening's trophy was won by F. Archer, with a score of 68. The A grade Buckley rooster was retained by M. K. Stewart. The B grade was retained by Miss 1. Clarke.
