ASSOCIATION A2TAIKS RE-ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN [from our owx correspondent! HAMILTON, "Wednesday The president, Mr. W. Hollis, and all the other members of the executive were re-elected at the annual meeting of* the Auckland branch of the Factory Managers' Association. The chairman, in his report, stated that the executive met four times during the year. Owing to the economic position they found it necessary to curtail some of the conferences, but members had the opportunity of discussing problems at the periodical regradina of dairy produce in the Auckland grading stores. At two gatherings members examined produce from Wellington and Southland and at the Auckland Winter Exhibition members had the unique opportunity of grading samples of butter from all dairying countries which were in competition with New Zealand on the English market. The statement of accounts showed an excess of expenditure over income of £i 8s lOd.

[n conjunction with the? association conference a meeting of the Auckland Provincial First Assistants' Association was also held. The president, Mr. S. G. Finch, presided over a full attendance of the executive, which discussed various problems of the industry.
