good impression made GRATIFICATION IN LONDON (liccci ved May 30. 5.5 p.m.) Times Cable LONDON, May 3D Tlio City Editor of tho Times, commenting on the flotation of tho new Commonwealth internal loan of £5,000,000, says:—" No better proof of the improvement in Australia's credit, thanks to her adoption of sound principles of finance, also of the growing resources of Australian investors, could have been given than this success. The loan will facilitate the conversion operation in London." Tho City is gratified at the muck success of"the loan as further indicating Australians' confidence, in their own country. . . The Australian Minister in London, Mr! S. M. Bruce, expressed his gratification and said the success should convince the world of Australia's complete faith in herself and confidence in the Government's securities.
