WELLSFORD BUTTER FACTORY
Sir, —A letter appeared in your issue of May 27 blaming Mr. Singleton and the dairy division for the delay that has occurred in granting a licence for a new butter factory in the vicinity of Wellsford. "Your correspondent docs not specify Wellsford; but there is little doubt that this is the place to -which he refers. In fairness to the dairy division, I wish to state that they are not in any way responsible for the delay; the blame rests with the Minister of Agriculture, and whoever is pulling the strings. This company has made a definite request to the Minister that tho New Zealand Dairy Produce Board be asked to arbitrate between the three companies concerned and is now awaiting his reply. Tub Secretary, Port Albert Co-op. Dairy Co., Ltd.
