ABATTOIR WORKERS
CITY COUNCIL DISPUTE Representatives of the Auckland City Council and its abattoir workers again failed to agree in adjourned conciliation council proceedings yesterday. Mr. P. Hally, conciliation commissioner, presided.* Tho City Council was represented by Messrs. G. Grey Campbell, W. H. Murray, R. W. Rugg and S. h. Wright, while the employees' representatives were Messrs. W. Jainieson, J. Lundon, R. Whittle and W. 15. Sill. Tho parties have agreed on all matters except the rate of wages tor the slaughtering of pigs. This formed the main subject of discussion yesterday, but no agreement was reached. What action will be taken is not certain until the reports of the representatives have been received by the parties to the dispute*
