TO-DAY'S ILLUSTRATIONS MANY TOPICAL FEATURES Another splendid publication of the Auckland Weekly News is on sale today. The large illustrated section contains a most comprehensive pictorial record of all the recent important events at home and abroad. "Flying over the roof of the ■world" is the title of the striking centre doublepage on which are reproduced the first pictures of Mount Everest (29,141 ft.), taken from the air during' the British expedition's historic pioneer flight over the world's highest mountain. The pictures include arresting near views of the awe-inspiring summit. Graduates of the jubilee year at Auckland University College are given special prominence on a full page. The picture shows successful students who received their degrees and diplomas at last week's graduation ceremony.
