MORE WET WEATHER COLD TEMPERATURES The Government meteorologist reported last evening as follows:—A fairly deep cyclone covers the Dominion with the centre over the Bay of Plenty, while an equally deep depression lias moved on to south-eastern Australia. Indications are for westerly to southwesterly winds north of Auckland; elsewhere southerly to south-easterly, moderate to strong generally and of gale force at times in and north of Cook Strait. Seas rough north of Farewell Spit and Kaikoura, with a heavy south-east swell on the east coast; elsewhere moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Strong but decreasing south winds; seas rough, with a confused swell. Weather still unsettled, dull and misty. Rain in most districts with further heavy falls in many parts of the North Island. A slight temporary improvement is probablo to-morrow. Cold temperatures. YESTERDAY'S WEATHER Auckland. Boisterous and wet weather was experienced early yesterday morning, when tho wind changed from north-east to west. Heavy rain fell for a considerable period after the wind changed, and during tho day tho weather was squally and showery. Dunedin.—The weather was fine, but cold and cloudy yesterday and a light north-east wind was blowing. The barometer had fallen to 29.55 in. in tho evening.
