WAKATERE CANOE CLUB The Wakatcre Canoe Club brought its season to a close on Sunday when the ladies' championship race was sailed in the club's one-design class. Tho race was decided ovor a short triangular course in a fresh breeze from the south-east. Tho winner was Waliine, sailed by Miss I. Nicholas, who beat Miss M. Nash in Wiritoa by 455. Misa J, Walket, in Waiata, finished third. 34s after Wiritoa. White Wings (Miss V. Hunt) ako started but retired.
