MORE RAIN INDICATED , "f heavy falls in north The Government meteorologist re-, ported last evening as follows:—The cyclonic depression centred yesterday in the north Tasman Sea has since deepened and is now crossing the North Island. A similar depression is likely to follow it. Indications are for northwest to west winds in the far north; elsewhere south-east to north-east, „ moderate to strong, reaching gale force at times about and north of Cook Strait. Seas rough north of the Kaikoura and Cook Strait area with a heavy, swell; elsewhere moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Winds variable, strong south to south-east prevailing; seas moderate to rough, confused swell. Weather still dull, cool ? and misty with further rain. Some heavy falls in the North Island and a little in western and southern districts of the South Island.
