LINE UMPIRE ASSISTS PLAYER REFEREE STOPS PLAY It happened during a recent senior Rugby game. Play had only been going a few minutes when one player walked to the side-line, spoke to the umpire, who produced a small bottle. After taking a nip, the player--returned to the game with seemingly renewed vigour. It happened again and _t-ien again. The referee became annoved and stopped the game.
