WORK FOR EDUCATION
TRIBUTE TO DR. RANSTON A tribute to the work of the Rev. Dr. H. Ranston, principal of Trinity Methodist" College, in the cause of education, was paid by Sir George Fowlds, who presided at the gathering addressed by Dr. Ranston in the Town Hall concert chamber yesterday afternoon. Sir George said he had been associated for a number of years with Dr. Eanston as a member of the Auckland University College Council and he had seen the results of his wisdom on that body. Also, he had been associated with him J as a member of the Senate of the University .of New Zealand. Wherever Dr. Ranston had appeared he had exerted a valuable influence.
