Three applications were received by * the North Auckland Land Board for a partially-improved section in the Mangonui County which was offered for settlement. The section, which is of 90 acres, is on the main North road 20 mileu from Awanui, and five miles from Houhora. It consists of a partlydrained raupo swamp and sandy fiats, 20 acres having been grassed. The applicants were all experienced farmers,, the successful one being Mr. J. Subritzky, of Kaitaia. The small number of applications was due to the fact that the property was loaded witfl £IBO for improvements.
