BULLI BY-ELECTION CHALLENGE TO • LANGISM SYDNEY, May « The Bulli by-election campaign hag. become extremely bitter. Mr. A. O* Willis, formerly Agent-General for New; South Wales, who is the miners'. candidate, in a typical coal mining constituency, having come into conflict with the Lang forces, is hailed by Mr. Lang,, as "a top-hatted gentleman, fresh from the halls of Westminster." The press is unanimous in saying that tho challenge to Langism has come sooner than was expected, and Mr.. Lang is making the Bulli campaign a fight for his own political existence. He will spend the best part of next week in that electorate on behalf of Mr. Sweeney, the candidate selected to carry the banner of tho inner Labour 6 rou PHowever, it is announced that Mr. Willis commands the entire following of the Miners' Federation, and he is regarded as certain to win the soat.
