CALLIOPE CLUB'S EVENT The Calliope Harrier Club held a run over eight or nine miles of fine country on Saturday. Two packs started with an interval of seven minutes between each. The fust pack, consisting of Andrews, Whitmore, Rowland, McCombie, Clayton and Davidson, set a good pace over the whole course, all showing good form. In the slow pack Steele and Drummond ran well. A run-in was held over 220.vds, resulting as follows:—-A. E. Clayton, 13yds., 1; A. Clow, 7yds, 2; R. Drummond, 11yds, 3; L. Lanigan, 15yds, 4; W. Cliarman, 4yda, 5. TECHNICAL OLD BOYS Tho Technical Old Boys' Harrier Club held a run on Saturday over seven, miles of varied country. Tho packs, led by T. M. Wilson, T. J. Dennett and J. Ni^Lolson, set, a very fast pace, and a good run resulted. WESLEY CLUB The official opening of tho Wesley Harrier Club took place in tho grounds of Mr. F. M. Wilistone., on the slopes of One Tree Hill, on Saturday. The Rev. E. D. Patched, president, of the club, declared tho season oj,ien, and Mrs. F. M. Wilistone started a pack of 20 runners on a five miles run around and over One Tree Hill. Mr. F. M. Wilistone presented the club witli a challenge cup, for which he was thanked on behalf of the club by its vicecaptain, Mr. M. C. Green. A run-in over 300 yards resulted as follows:—-Slow pack: W. Elliot. 1; B. Verry, 2; T. Ellison. 3. Fast, pack: J. 11. W. Fnrland, 1; W. F. Winstone, 2; A. Winstone, 3. LYNNDALE CLUB The Lynndalo Harrier Club held a road race over about five and a-half miles on Saturday. Results were as follows: Senior Handicap.—Compton, 4m, 1; Bigdon, 3m, 2; Simpson, sm, 3. Fastest time, Brigga, 33m 425. Junior Handicap.—T. Clark, 2m 30s, 1: Harris. 2m, 2: H. Chappell, 2m, 3. Fastest time, Harris, 37m 325. PRESBYTERIAN CLUB The Presbyterian Bible Class Harrier Club held a grading race on Saturday to decide tho division of members into packs, A varied course offered an excellent trjal for the competitors. Results were as follows; J. I. B. Neil. 1; R. Linfoot, 2; L. C. Rice, 3; R. B. Pidgeon, 4. RACE AT HAMILTON [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT] HAMILTON, Sunday A three miles race was conducted by tho Hamilton Harrier Club yesterday, and resulted as follows:—L. Skegt, 1; G„ Hoult. 2: J. Murphy, 3. G, Ready made the fastest time in 14m 44b.
