BOY GOLFERS
Application was made in the Upper Hutt Borough Council by Anthony Hoey, " on behalf of several boy golf enthusiasts," for permission to use part of Maidstone Park as a golf course during the winter months, but not on Saturdays or Sundays, or when the park was being used for other sports or for picnics. The council decided to givo the boys a month's trial, subject to the supervision of tho park-keeper.
