TRANSPORT CONTROL
ROAD GOODS SERVICES [I'KOM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT] TE KUITI, Monday The provisions of the Transport Act relating to road passenger traffic and tho goods transport regulations were explained by tho Commissioner of Transport, Mr. J. S. Hunter, at a meeting convened by the Te Kuiti Chamber of Commerce. He said it was now necessary to eliminate tho overlapping of goods services in the same way as uneconomic passenger traffic had been eliminated by the licensing commissions. It could be done without undue hardship. A number of questions was raised regarding cream cartage services and the problem of overlapping. Mr. Hunter said the commission had power to stop such overlapping.
