AEROPLANE PURCHASE
NEW ZEALAND AIRWAYS QUESTION OF DELIVERY SYDNEY, April 21 Sir Charles Kingsford Smith stated to-day that he may fly tho aeroplane recently purchased by Mr. H. M. Mackay, managing-director of New Zealand Airways—the Southern Sky—to tho Dominion, but he did not think it would be very wise to do so. The Southern Sky will only be flown across if the shipping rates are too high. Sir Charles said he would be only too glad to enter the air race from London to Melbourne "if anybody gives me a nice aeroplane."
