WIDE INSURANCES
MELBOURNE'S CENTENARY -Decisions on insurance and the issuing; of centenary invitations to world celebrities, including Einstein and Kipling, were the main business of the Melbourne Centenary Council's executive committee at a recent meeting. It is proposed to insure against the following. contingencies, which would affect the celebrations:—Death in the Royal Family, \yar, lire, famine, pestilence or plague, riot and civil commotion, and t, earthquake. Covering sums from £IO,OOO to_ -EoO.OOO will be considered. The committee decided to offer the post of centenary organiser to the Base Commandant, Brigadier-General C H.
