SHORT COMEDY COMPLETED PLANS FOR FUTURE FILMS The first talking film comedy to be inade in New Zealand has been completed by Mr. Rudal Hay ward, producer of " Rewi's Last Stand," " Jhe ie Kooti Trail," " A Bush Cinderella " and many other less ambitious films, ftlr. Hayward has secured the film rights of Mr. Pat Lawlor's series of Maori stories and it is his intention to make several short comedies, exploiting the ready wit and naivete of the Maori face. / In the first comedy as jet untitled, the principal parts are taken by Mr. Graeme Holder and Mr. Charles Archer, both well-known on the Auckland Mnateur stage, and Mr. George Puha and Mr. Jack Robb, who have also appeared on the stage in Auckland. The sound-recording equipment has been almost entirely designed and built w Auckland.
