MAN FROM CHICAGO
MR. INSULL IN GREECE PLANNING A " COME-BACK " Mr.-Samuel Instill, the London-born financier, whose operations in Chicago led to the United States Government asking for his extradition from Greece, is making a new bid for fame and fortune. He is planning his come-back, says an Athens correspondent. As Mr. Insull's health improves, so his quick mind is turning to the business field, where he amassed one of the biggest fortunes of the century. Already he is becoming one of the " big brains " of Greece. Powerful Greek financiers and electricity experts, it is stated, are paying frequent visits to him at his Athens hotel to seek his advice. The man who worked side by side with Edison and the Greek financiers are spending hours in conference. Big schemes for financial and electrical development in Greece are being studied and drawn up. When the world situation improves, these ideas will bo put into force. Mr. Insull is keeping himself well acquainted with the momentous political and financial events in America and Germany through the help of his wife who recently arrived in Athens. She is an expert linguist, and daily she reads aloud the French newspapers published in Athens, thus giving her husband the latest news. But while the famous financier is dreaming of his " come-back," the man who was sent to bring him. back to America, Mr.' Andrew Vlahos, the Chicago State Attorney, remains in Athens waiting for instructions from Chicago, where, it is stated* the authorities are considering the framing of fresh charges against Mr. Insull, in order that a new application for his extradition may be made. Meanwhile, though ho is worried by tho news'from Chicago, the financier expresses confidence that he will be ablo to defeat any further efforts by tho American authorities. He may make his home permanently in Greece.
