MOTHER'S PRAYER ANSWERED
A woman prayed one night fourteen years ago that her son might become an artist. Tho next day, on his twelfth birthday, he delighted her by suddenly asking for a set of water-colours. He at once began to paint tho scenes around his home. Two years later he showed some of his pictures at a small exhibition in the Belfast Municipal Art Gallery. Tlio boy is Winston McQuoid and his mother Mrs. Clara McQuoid, an authoress. Now, at the age of 26, although he has never had a lesson, lie is holding an exhibition of his paintings at a gallery in tho West-end of London.
