COMMUNIST SECRETS

RAID IN BERLIN BUILDING'S HIDDEN CELLARS Karl Liebknechtliaus, the Communist headquarters in Berlin, which lias so often been searched by the police in the past, has only now yielded up all its secrets to the police officials, who tiro in permanent occupation since it was closed recently as being the source of seditious pamphlets. In past years the polico were often puzzled because persons pursued to the doors of the building could not afterwards bo found, although all exits were watched. They have now discovered a secret entrance to a whole scries of collars, the existence of which was hitherto unknown to them. From these cellars there is a secret passage into the courtyard of a house in another street. Vast piles of treasonable Communist literature have been found, including instructions based on experience in the Russian revolution for Communist squad leaders, who are to act as officers in the eventuality of armed rebellion. Thoro are instructions for the immediate arrest and shooting of leading members of the upper classes. A clever system for giving tho alarm in every room from a concealed bell push in the porter's lodge has also been found. By a system of mirrors tho porter was able to watch the approaches to the building without himself ever putting bis head out of his little room by the door. A secret passage in the walls of the upper storeys was also found. In this passage were many secret documents. A thorough search of the house and of the documents it contained will tako weeks.
