AFTERNOON MEETING
A meeting of the members of the Bayswater-Belmont Women's Society and other Bayswater residents was held in the home of the president, Mrs. F. E. Gaudin, at Norwood Eoad. Bayswater, vesterday afternoon. Over 40 ladies attended to bear the address given bv Mr. N. S. Chalmers, a candidate for the Mayoralty in Takapuna. Other speakers were Mr. T. S. Hickey, who is seeking election as a councillor on the Takapuna Borough Council, and Mr. Ralph White, president of the Bayswater Ratepayers' Association. Afternoon tea was served at the conclusion of the meeting.
