LEVIES NOT PAID
[from ouiv.own correspondent] HAMILTON, Friday A fine of £1 was imposed on Richard Anthony Newton, aged 26, by Mr. F. W. Platts, S.M., in the Hamilton Police Court to-day for failing to pay tho unemployment levy. Constablo F._ N. Aplin said defendant had been living with the Maoris at Whatawhata for the last three years. He was very lazy and dirty, and would not work. He had not paid any of the levies, and said ho had no means.
