LIQUOR AFTER HOURS
HOTEL LICENSEE FINED Charges of selling liquor after hours and keeping open licensed premises after hours were admitted bv Herbert George Bright, licensee of the Riverhead Hotel, in the Police Court yesterday, before Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M. Constable Du Temple said that at 9.10 p.m. on March 11 he went to the Riverhead Hotel with two other constables. Defendant admitted serving a drink to a man, who paid for it. He said it was a fair catch. Defendant said it was not his practice to serve liquor after hours. Ho had not been in trouble before. Defendant was fined £2 on the first charge and £■'] on the second. Fines of £1 each were imposed on foui men who were found on tho premises after hours.
