CRICKET CASUALTIES
INJURY TO A PLAYER CHILD'S SKULL FRACTURED In the Lilydalo and District association final cricket match in Melbourne on April 8, a ball hit by N. Wallace, of the Seville team, struck A. O'Cpnnor, of the Wandin team in the face with such force that eight stitches had to be inserted in the wound. Before that O'Connor had obtained two wickets for 9 runs. While a match was being played at Doncaster on the following afternoon Sydney William Armstrong, aged 7 years, of South Melbourne, was struck on the head by a cricket ball. He was admitted to the hospital with a depressed fracture of the skull.
