DARGAVILLE FIRE BOARD
REPORT ON THE BRIGADE [BY TKLKGKAI'H —OWN CORBKSrONDKNT] DARGAVILLE. Friday At the annual meeting of the Dargavillo Fire Board Mr. G. Ncvill (Auckland) was ro-elected chairman and Mr. F. A. Jones deputy-chairman. The estimates for tho year, showing a slight increase on last year's figures, were adopted and are to bo sent to tho Minister of Internal Affairs for approval. The inspector of fire brigades, in his report on the brigade, spoke in praise of the brigade's efficiency. His recommendation to purchase certain appliances was adopted. Tho brigade was also -congratulated by tho chairman on tho result of its efforts at the recent To Aroha demonstration and £ls was voted toward tho team's travelling expenses. Tho local members of tho board, Messrs. F. A. Jones, A. J. Finch and F. J. Hosking, were appointed tho executive.
