SOUVENIR OF AUSTRALIA
OPOSSUM FOR SUTCLIFFE Tho Orient mail steamer Orama. which has left Sydney for London, has on hoard an opossum which was presented to Herbert Sutcliffc, tho English batsman, before ho left Sydney, by Mr. Robert Watsford. Sutcliffo was disappointed in being prevented from bringing the opossum with him to New Zealand becauso of quarantine regulations. The Orient Company consented to land tho opossum in London, whero the batsman's little daughter will take charge of it.
