PROVINCIAL CONFERENCE [by telegraph OWN correspondent] DARGAVILLE, Wednesday The annual conference of the Auckland Provincial Council of the New Zealand Farmers' Union opened here to-day, when over 100 delegates from all parts of the province assembled. In the absence of Mr. H. M. Kushworth, M.P. for Bay of Islands, who is with the Ministerial party in tha Far North, Mr. W. A. Morgan president of the Dargaville branch, presided. The delegates were officially welcomed by the Mayor of Dargaville. Mr. F. A. Jones. There are over 90 remits on the order paper and the conference is expected to last at least two more days. To-day's proceedings were confined chiefly to reports and formal business.
