CHRYSANTHEMUM SHOW
FINE DISPLAY EXPECTED Excellent displays are expected at the annual chrysanthemum show of the Auckland Horticultural Society, which will open to-morrow in the lown Hall. The setting will resemble a Japanese garden, one of tho main features being a largo central exhibit prepared by the parks department of the City Council. Record entries have been received and, in this, the co-operation of members ol the Auckland Chrysanthemum Society has been of valuo. Tho show, which will conclude at 9 p.n\. on Friday with a salo of blooms, will be opened by Mr. G. Lv Taylor, chairman of the Parks and Reserves Committee of the City Council. An attraction at last year's show was the number of specimen plants, and th 6 year the number far exceeds the previous display in quality and quantity.
