There are considerable areas of mangrove swamp in the vicinity,' all of which is claimed to bo suitable for saurians. In one of these mangrove areas a fair-sized crocodile was reported to have been seen a few weeks ago. While working on a tank for his house, the last one on the beach reserve, Mr. Brightman's attention was attracted by a crocodile, about 50 yards away, coming out of a gully. The report created considerable interest, and a few days later another resident of the area, who also has had experience with crocodiles, stated his intention of searching for tracks.
