>) ] WORK AT MASTERTON 1 i The establishment of a -biological e station at the Masterton hatchery, in ' accordance with a report submitted by Mr. W. J. Phillipps, the station to bo. under the control of the Central Research Committee through the Welling- , d ton sub-committee, has been decided on " by the Wellington Acclimatisation Society. Mr. E. J. C. Wiffin said that Professor Percival (Christchtirch) agreed with the desirabilit\ r of a station afc if Masterton. : Mr. A. Fleming said -that the fisli committee recommended the provision of a station there because of the excellent work done in that district prit vately. It was intended to carry on t research work in connection with fisj» movements in the rivers. -
