OBITUARY
MR. R. A. PATERSON The death has occurred at Gaston, Oregon, of Mr. Robert Aimers Paterson, a former resident of Auckland and Wellington. Born in Dunedin in November, 1873, Mr. Paterson was in the Lands and Survey Department before going to the United States some 22 years ago. He lived for a considerable time in the Groveland district in \\ ashington, where he was engaged in larming. He is survived by his wife and four step-children. MR. J. M. FLYNN [BY TEt/EGKAni —OWN OORKKSPON'DEXT] HAMILTON, Monday The death occurred at Hamilton yesterday of Mr. John Maurice Flynn at the age of 83 ,vears. .Mr. Flynn was born in County Kerry, Ireland, and came to Now Zealand in 1853. He lived for many years in Canterbury, where he took up land. He was employed in the railway service for 25 years and one of the founders of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants. He later carried on farming in the Waikato, retiring in 1923, when he came to live in Hamilton. Mrs. Flynn died 18 months ago. Mr. Flynn is survived by four sons.
