MR. F. G. KELLAWAY CABLES-WIRELESS DIRECTOR (Received April 14, 5.5 p.m..) LONDON. April 13 The death lias occurred of Mr. F. G. Kellaway, P.C., vice-chairman and managing; director of Marconi s ircless Telegraph Company, Limited. The late Mr. F. G. Kellaway, who was born in Bristol in December, 1870, was deputy-Governor and joint managing director of Cables and Wireless, Limited, also chairmaai and managing director of the Marconi International Marino Communication Company and
joint managing director of Imperial and International Communications, Limited. Mr. Kellaway commenced public work in Lcwisham in 1898, where he edited a series of local newspapers. He was elected to the Lewisham Board of Guardians and .Borough Council. Ho contested Wandsworth for the London County Council in .1907 and the South Northiints seat in the House of Commons in 1910. Ho was M.P. for Bedford Borough, 1910-22; Joint Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Munitions, 1916, Secretary of the Department of Overseas Irade, 1 9LO (holding the double title of additional Tinder-Secret arv of State for Foreign Affairs and additional Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Trade). He was Postmaster-General, 1921-22.
