"DOM NAPOLEON "
LAUGHTON'S NEW FILM The Hungarian film director, Mr. Alexander Korda recently arrived in London to confer with Mr. Charles Laughton on the talking picture " Dom Napoleon," in which the English actor is to be starred by London Film Productions. Mr. Laughton is to portray the character of a kindly parish priest, and tho scene of the drama is Rapallo, in Italy, in the daj-s of Napoleon. All the exteriors, . which constitute tho greater part of tho film, will be made in and around Rapallo in settings which still retain their old-world character. Tho early part of the film will show the village priest ministering to the spiritual and temporal needs of his peasant parishioners, and many peasants now living near Rapallo will take part in theso scenes. The second part will show the priest exalted to tho rank of cardinal. The third and final part of tho film will show the disillusioned priest returning to his simplo sphere and renewing his beneficent influence.
