SEA MYSTERY UNSOLVED
That a British mercantile officer or engineer might have boon hit over the head and the body thrown overboard in the North Sea was the suggestion made at a recent inquest at Hunmanby, near Scarborough. l)r. Roderick A. Campbell stated that the body, which was recovered from the sea, might have been in the water lor a few weeks. It was that of a young man of abnormally powerful physique. A constable stated that thy body was fully clothed, except that the right sea boot was missing. A tab inside the jacket bore tho name Isaac Black, South Shields, but there was no one of that name missing. Another mark was " Steven Simpson." Tho uniform .and nearly all the clothing were of superior class, and there were 9-carat gold cuff-links, stamped on tho underside " MCS. S." A verdict of ' Found dead " was recorded.
