Fraser, of Momona Road, have returned from Helensville. // Mrs. A. W. A. Perkins, of Garden [Road, Remuera, has returned from a yisit to Rotorua. Mrs. Allan J. Moody and Miss Joy Moody, of Epsom, will leave to-morrow cn a visit to the Waitomo Caves. Mrs. C. Cory-Wright, who is the guest of Mrs. K. MacLcnnan, Victoria Avenue, Remuera, will return to Wellington just after Easter. Mrs. Gordon Dransfield and Miss May Dransfield, of Victoria Avenue, Remuera, have returned after an extended visit to Dunedin and the Southern Lakes. Lady Wilford and Miss Isabel Wilford, who arrived in New Zealand a few weeks ago, will return to England by the Rangitane, which will leave to-day. Staying at the Station Hotel are:— Mrs. P. H. Greare and Miss Hadfield, of Wellington; Mrs. N. Jolly and Miss J. Lamb, Wairarapa; Mrs. W. Raine, Te Kuiti; Mrs. M. McKenzie, Hamilton; Mrs. J. Mitchell, Cambridge. At a meeting of the Sketch Club held in the Society of Arts ropms on Tuesday evening work that, had been done by members during the month was submitted to Miss Vallance Young for her criticism and advice. A demonstration and lecture upon lino work was also given by Miss Young. Mr. E. Wadham, chairman, presided. The annual meeting of the Women's Forum was held in the Y.W.C.A. rooms. The president, Mrs. E. A. Leighton, presided. The election of officers for the incoming year resulted as follows: —President, Mrs. E. McNair; vice-presidents, Mrs. Hollingworth and Mrs. Gilfillan; secretary, M. H. Baggett; committee, Mrs. J. P. Howden, Mrs. H. Kasper, Mrs. R. Bennett, Mrs. Darlow, Mrs. McLaughlin and Mrs. Gascoigne. A! large gathering of members of the Western Area Ratepayers' Association, ratepayers from Milford, Takapuna and Bayswater, were present yesterday afternoon at the residence of Mrs. J. C. Blomfield, at Karaka Street, Takapuna. These attending presented a petition signed by over 400 ratepaj ers and residents requesting her to allow herself to be nominated for a further term on the borough council. A large committee was.- formed to assist Mrs. Blomfield. r . - . -; • There was a full attendance of members when the Club of Music Friends Leld its opening meeting of the season at the Lyceum Club. The president, Miss Alice Law, entertained the members with an illustrated talk on Johannes Brahms, the composer, whose centenary occurs next month. Miss Law played the following piano items: — Rhapsody in G Minor, Andante and Scherzo from Sonata in i Minor, two intermezzi, and a group of waltzes. She was assisted by Miss Yorke, who gave as vocal items "Sapphic/Ode" and "The Sandman." lAfternbon tea was later handed round.
