THAMES BOROUGH RATES
[BY TELEGRAPH —OWN- CORRESPONDENT] THAMES. Friday Speaking at a fire brigade function last evening, tho Thames Borough commissioner, Mr. C. L. Grange, referred to rating matters. Mr. Grange said he had given the fullest consideration to the striking of a rate of 2s 6d in the pound, but it was unavoidable. No one would be pressed unduly, and every consideration would bo given to those in arrears to help them to pay.
