SEASON AT ROTORUA

ATTRACTIONS FOR EASTER [by TELEGRAPH —OWN correspondent] ROTORUA, Friday There is every indication that Rotorua will attract many visitors during the Easter holidays. Accommodation houses in most cases report good bookings, and the motor camps are generally well patronised at this season. Arrangements have been aiade to entertain the visitors with various forms of Amusement, including Maori concerts, which will be held in the Town Square'over the Easter week-end. On Good Friday a Maori concert will be given in the evening. On Easter Monday a sports meeting, will be held at Ngongotaha, and a swimming carnival at the new Blue Baths will be held in the evening. Golf, cricket and bowls will be the most popular outdoor amusements, while the various baths in the Government gardens will no doubt be well patronised. Special railway excursions will be run from Auckland "and other centres. The motor services are also anticipating a busy time.

TE AROHA CARNIVAL ARRANGEMENTS WELL FORWARD [from our own correspondent] TE AROHA, Friday Arrangements for the carnival at Easter were discussed at a meeting of interested organisations held last evening. The chairman, Mr. R. Coulter, said he regretted having to report the postponement of tho aero pageant and ball next Wednesday, but all the other fixtures were arranged and would be carried out. It was decided to make a special carnival night next Thursday, .when tho Municipal and Pipe Bands would parade the streets. A procession of children's decorated trollies and fancy dresses will also be a feature. The town will bo illuminated and bcflagged for the occa-

sion. In connection with the combined church parade on Easter Sunday, at which the three bands and the 300 firemen who will be visiting the town in connection with the provincial demonstration, will attend, it was decided to invite the friendly societies and the Te Aroha and Waitoa Boy Scouts and Girl Guides to take part.
