COUNCIL EMPLOYEES' SALARIES
Sir, —The above matter was discussed by sevivnl ratepayers, most of whom pay iiiojo than the average amount. They were unanimous that if the heads were employed by any of the councillors they would not get more than half tlieir present salaries. The ratepayers are real mugs to put up with it, and L intend to ask some of those men who will .shortly offer themselves lor election as councillors what their opinion is, and whether they will endeavour to have several ridiculously high salaries of council employees considerably reduced. ii atki'ayku.
