WAI KATO'S PAST YEAR [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Monday " The result of the year s working has been highly satisfactory and we were fortunate in having fine weather for our last show, this factor contributing in a large measure to the success attained," states the report of the Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Association to bo presented at the annual meeting next Thursday. The report adds that the exhibits at the show were up to the usual high standard, the entries in the Jeresy cattle section constituting a Dominion record. Entries in the pig section showed a marked increase on previous years, and those in other sections were well up to average. During the year .a gymkhana was held and proved a financial success. The association was fortunate last December in participating in tho benefits from an art union, the association s share amounting to £IOOO. The financial position of the association was sound, and with the funds available the incoming committee would be able to carry out necessary improvements to the grounds. The surplus for the year transferred to the capital account amounted to £B7^
