The final between Rankin and Porrit fin--1 ished on the 20th head in the dark, the result being 26 to 12 in Rankin's favour. The winning te'tJi played a very solid game all through. This is the second annual rinks tournament of the Western Suburbs clubs. A New Lyn:a team with Rankin as skip, and Meese as No. 3, won the competition, last year also. The champion of champions of the Western Suburbs will be played on the Halli-burton-Johnstone greeri at & a.m. next Saturday. The competitors will be the club champions and the runners-up from the fivo clubs. CENTRE VISITS PAPATOETOE Members of the Auckland Bowling Centre paid an official visit on Saturday to the Papatqetpe green, where they were cordially welcomed by the president, Mr. George Foster. Buckland retained the trophy by a margin of oight points. TOURNEY AT PUKEKOHE [from our own correspondent] PUKEKOHE, Saturday The Pukekohe Bowling Club's annual full rink vocational tournament was concluded to-day. Roulaton and Bish tied with five wins and one loss each, and in the play-ofT of three heads, Roulsto n won by three points to two. Mr. G 11. Armstrong presented each member of the winning team, Harris, Webb, D. Ingram and Duncan Roulston. with an Easter egg, while Mr. T. C. Fourteen teams took part. Cox was tho winning skip, with 4i wins. Holloway was next, with 4 wins. For leads Gower, Grant and Johnston tied, with 4 wins each. In the semifinal Grant defeated Gower, and in the final Grant defeated Johnston by 5 points to 4. The Kensington Club challenged Whangarei (holders) for the Swan Cup, and the match was played this afternoon on tho Whangarei green. Kensington won tho trophy by 52 points to 26. Kensington challenged the Hikurangi Club (holders) for the Hayes Cup,_ the match being played on the Hikurangi green this afternoon. The trophy was retained by tho holders, who defeated the challengers by 46 points to 35.
