EMPLOYMENT MINISTER
ARRIVAL IN AUCKLAND MEETING DEPUTATIONS TO-DAY The Minister of Employment, the Hon. A. Hamilton, arrived in Auckland last evening from Tauranga, where ho spent Saturday night, having travelled from Wellington by way of National Park and Rotorua. Ho is at the Grand Hotel. To-day tho Minister will discuss unemployment problems with a deputation representing local bodies in and about the city, immediately afterward he will meet a deputation from the Metropolitan Unemployment Relief Committee. Another deputation, comprising Labour members of Parliament and representatives of trades unions, social organisations and unemployed workers, will wait on the Minister today or to-morroAV. The Minister expects to return to Wellington to-mor-row evening. The deputy-chairman of tho Unemployment Board, Mr. J. S. Jessep, and Mr. W. Bromley, a member of the board, arrived in Auckland on Saturday morning, in accordance with the Minister's advice that he had arranged with two members of the board to visit Auckland. They conferred with local oliicials of tho Labour Department.
