Turrell, Dominion superintendent of the New Zeal?ud Shipping Company, Limited, is at the Strand Hotel. Mr. A. T. Donnelly, of Christehurch, •chairman of the management committee of the Mew Zealand Cricket Council, is at the Hotel Cargen. Mr. A. M. Seaman returned yesterday from Wellington, where ha attended a meeting of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. Mr. H. 0. Talbot, the New Zealand representative cricketer, has left Christchurch for Dunedin to be manager of the Phoenix Assurance Company. Mr. smd Mrs. T. H. Lowry and Mr. J. N. Lowry, of Hawke's Bay, and Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Lowry-and Mr. T. Lowry, of Taihape, arcs at the Crand Hotel. Mr. G. W. Robins, assistant manager of Huddart Parker, Limited, in Sydney, left by tho Wanganella yesterday after spending a hDlJday in New Zealand. He was accompanied by Mrs. Robins. Mr. A. G. Bush, late borough engineer at Lower Hutt, who resigned in September on accent of illness and went toSoutli Africa,, died lit Fort Beaufort, Cape Piovince. this week. He was formerly a Government engineer in Kenya.
