AKARANA DEFENCE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP TO WAKEFIELD The Akararia Rifle.Club championship consists of the three beat shoots over all ranges' during thfc season, and the' average' is compiled from all club shoots throushout the championship series. Honours . for . the two coveted positions were decisively won by R. Wakefield. qne of Auckland's vouncest and 'most promising rifle shots. Wakefield's successes this year have been outstanding as he is also credited with winning the Auckland cadet championship, the B grade aggregate for the highest scorac in all belt matches nt Trentham, and finishing well up in the King's Forty, at the New Zealand championship meeting. The B grade championship was won bv another young and promising junior. A. M. Jenkinson, and C grade honours fell to T. Holmes. L. A. Gribble, of the Mount Albert Grammar School Cadets.. won the iunior section with a comfortable margin of points. Details are as follows:—R.
