SCHOOLBOY ATHLETES

MOUNT ALBERT GRAMMAR T. KER SENIOR CHAMPION TWO MORE RECORDS BROKEN Perfect weather and a firm track favoured the second day of the Mount Albert Grammar School annual sports at the Domain yesterday. There was a large attendance of parents and friends, who witnessed some excellent racing. Two records were broken during the afternoon, and tunes were consistently good. T. Ker, who had broken three records the previous day, broke the 440 yards open championship record of 53 3-5» in 53 l-ss, and 11. Harrison won the 880 yards championship under 16 in 2m 14 3-ss, the previous record l)eing 2m 16 3-ss. The senior championship was won easily by T. Ker with 25 points, J. Smallfield being second with 10. H. Harrison won the intermediate championship with 12 points, followed by L. Sprague with 6 2.;), while the junior champion was L. McDonald with 20 points, H. Needham, 15, being second. Afternoon tea was served on the grandstand by the staff and pupils of the Epsom Gills' Grammar School. Results are as follows:

OTAHTJHU TECHNICAL SPORTS HOUSE TROPHY TO HOBSON The first annual sports of the Otahuhu Technical High School were held yesterday in the presence of a. large number of parentß and visitors. Championship events for the senior and junior boys were run off and a house points trophy was ulso competed for.
